Städter is a German company with more than 50 years of experience in bakeware. The range covers both home bakers and professionals – from cake rings and springform tins to piping bags, cookie cutters and baking tools.

PFAS-free coating

Städter's metal tins have a PFAS-free coating. PFAS is the collective name for highly fluorinated substances long used to make surfaces non-stick, and now being phased out in the EU because they break down very slowly in nature.

For you as a baker it comes down to one thing: you can use the tin at high heat without wondering what the coating gives off. The material and coating of each product are listed under the product information on its own page.

What the range covers

• Cake rings – stainless steel rings without a base, for cakes with perfectly straight sides. Oven and freezer safe, so the same ring works for a baked cake and for an ice cream cake.
• Springform and other tins – springform tins with removable sides, heart shapes and adjustable baking frames that set to any size between 25 and 50 cm.
• Cookie cutters – metal gingerbread cutters from 4 cm upwards.
• Baking tools – ceramic baking beans for blind baking, silicone measuring jugs rated from −30 to +230 °C, and the rest of what the worktop needs.
• Piping bags and nozzles – disposable piping bags in BPA-free, food-approved plastic in several lengths.
• Baking mats and trays – surfaces for rolling out and for baking.

Cake ring or springform tin?

The question we are asked most often about the Städter range. A cake ring has no base and gives perfectly straight sides – you set it on a plate and build the cake layer by layer inside it. It suits mousse cakes, entremets and anything that sets in the fridge or freezer. A springform tin has a base and removable sides, and is best for what is baked in the tin: cheesecake, sponge, brownies.
